WTIC is not being affected much by the USD. It's following the tune of a different drummer.

What gets me is they changed the Basket of the WTIC to reduce the Weighting of Light Sweet Crude. Light Sweet is what we mostly Refine here. VLO is one of the few that has the Heavy Crude Refining Capability in Volume.

I wonder why they re-weighted the basket on the WTIC ?

The Re-Weighting sure makes Crude "SEEM" Cheaper. When it's actually not .. Light Sweet had been on a Rip it just doesn't look like it that much when we look at the WTIC.

It's a good thing we've dropped Food and Energy out of our Inflation Calculation. lol
