Thanks, Ray, but I don't consider myself an expert in COT. There are many good books on this subject, but I never studied it seriously. For the most part I check on COT as useful background info, and I seldom base trades on it -- buying UNG a few months ago being a rare (and rather profitable) exception.

Most of the time I get my info from Sentinentrader.com, which is a worthwhile subscription. Of course, a readily available free source is Softwarenorth:

As for the current situation, COT and sentiment in general seem to be somewhat neutral. Over the years i've seen significant turns take place during periods when sentiment was not exuberant one way or the other. Sometimes emotions heat up already *after* a significant move gets underway.
