Loneclone, as you say one study means nothing, but advocates of the theory that man made CO2 causes global warming should build that argument on a sound basis. The burden of proof falls on the ones making the argument and the basic premise of that argument, that increasing CO2 in the atmosphere due to human activity actually causes global temperature rises has not been demonstrated.

I could just as easily postulate that global warming was "caused" by the failure of modern society to burn witches at the stake, on the basis that as the activity of burning witches declined world wide, global temperatures have increased. It is just as statistically significant as most of the CO2 studies linked to global temperatures and also just as meaningless. As the proposer of the "witch burning" hypothesis it is my responsibility to provide the proof. It is not up to the rest of you to disprove such a obviously flawed pronouncement.
