yep, we can single handedly screw up the planet. i will accept stephen hawking's opinion over yours. Asked about the environment, Hawking, ... said he was "very worried about global warming." He said he was afraid that Earth "might end up like Venus, at 250 degrees centigrade and raining sulfuric acid."

there are a half dozen positive feedback loops, that when they kick in, all bets are off. like methane being released from permafrost when it thaws. and those feedback loops are not in the computer models yet, and can overwhelm the CO2 effects.

even various temperate soils have already become a co2 source
instead of a co2 sink.
