This second part will focus on the use of Java OS on Network Computers, where this system has true chances to make a significant breakthrough. The following analysis will be especially of interest
to analysts and managers who want to find out how Java OS Network Computers can support business strategies and what are the main issues related to their operations....

From the two perspectives (Java OS/NC vs Traditional OS), experiencing a disaster may look like this:

On Java OS Network Computers

Loosing the network means loosing all services.
User files are naturally stored on the server where they are usually backed up. Java OS Network Computers are simpler and contain less hardware. They are less prone to crash or to experience disruption of service.
There is almost nothing to restore in a Java OS NC because everything can be virtually downloaded from the servers on the network.

On traditional OS

Loosing network services is not so dramatic if applications and current files are stored locally.
Loosing the local hard disk may cause major disruption of work if data files are not backed up
Restoring a PC from scratch, even from a good backup, may require few hours of work.
