jer.v - if you guys like beaten-down new-technology startups just beginning to get contracts, you might check out JER and its recent news ... they have a plant down in Richmond, Varshneys have been in it all through and hold shares, the product apparently works well and it's starting to sell ... TSL has a thread going on it over here - Subject 56370

There's a gap-down open on jer in the high .50s, from january, for what that's worth ... stock is trading at about five per cent of what it was a few years ago

In re the US dollar [as in usd index] - i wouldn't bet big on it falling against the other fiat productions, because they all have their issues, plus they're all so intertwined and co-dependent that the whole question is irrelevant imho - what we should be watching is how fiat in general performs against real stuff ... gold in euros, for instance ... i think this bit by Ambrose E-P is right on - Message 24988496

If/when that bailout in whatever form passes sunday [which seems quite likely], and they crank the uptown stocks, there will likely be serious effort put into stomping on gold and silver ... could be an excellent buy opp, but i'm not waiting for it with any more than spare change
