I don't see what this bailout may possibly do in order to to increase availability of cheap credit going forward. Lenders will remain uncomfortable lending during an economic decline, and borrowers will be reluctant to borrow. The only thing we will have achieved is saving a great number of bankers who well deserved to lose their money. If I can see this, so can many other people. This brings out a trading related question - Will the markets experience a sustained rally of some sort, OR will they commence selling the news - maybe as early as this coming week?
