Elliott Waves give a trader an advantage of not being surprised by days like today. We *expect* retracements after completed impulsive moves. We expect days like today. We are surprised when retracements do NOT happen.

This doesn't guarantee in any way that the uptrend will resume, but the odds for that happening are good.
