The point I raised in support of your comment is one of my pet peeves. Some people are very quick to dismiss an idea or argument because someone they don't like raises or supports it. Some even act like the issue of the person raising the point (or some person or group connected to the person, or some idea the person raised in the past) proves the point right or wrong which is clearly ad-hominem. Even when it falls short of ad-hominem, its a way to close yourself off to new ideas and thoughts.

Considering that I have been posting about global warming for a year now and I back it up with evidence and facts, one of my pet peeves is when someone dismisses sound reasoning because they have bought into the crap spewed by a politician.

Only recently has Gore been a part of MY discussion.

some evidence of my views on global warming independent (for the most part) of any involvement by any politician

by the way, isn't this:
While all are stories that include facts, each of these sources are either so politically biased or lacking in professional journalistic standards that they have very little credibility, IMO.

an example of someone dismissing admitted facts because they didn't like the messenger?
