Zeev, as far as I know, MEMC isn't slowing any construction. Reuters is carrying a story this afternoon about the Japanese chip makers scaling back production and new construction. According to the article, 16MB DRAM is now selling for $11. On the spot market you can get them for $9...and the price is dropping.

Since MEMC doesn't sell to the Japanese, I guess the Street figures more non-Japanese semiconductor manufacturers will follow suit. We'll see. At any rate, WFR is off over a buck as of 2:30PM EDT.
