I have no idea where you get the idea that I trust government

Just because I am am able to assess risks and don't get frantic about unlikely events doesn't mean that I trust government.

I trust my assessment of likely more than yours.

What I challenged was the probability that the shortage would lead to nationalizing doctors.

We can agree to disagree on this. If you had read the accounts of Cuban slave doctors you might understand my perspective better. Cuba gets credit from liberal elitists for sending doctors to the third world when in fact it is a scheme to enrich the Castros.

when folks on my side of an issue get really weird, I call them on it just like I call the other side on its weirdness.

However my weird has a history of forecasting the future better than your normal.

It's my small and mostly ineffectual contribution to civility and reason, my way of being a good citizen.

You get credit for your good intentions.
