Sheer funky-ass stupidity. A campaign re-election strategy by an incompetent president running for re-election in a country dominated by low information voters.

Of course the US is also the biggest, meanest mo-fo in the neighborhood and can crap on whoever they want with equanimity.

Iran cannot, and continuation on their present course will unfortunately result in another Hiroshima on the site of present day Teheran.
