Happy Halloween. First a joke: A young lad was visiting a church for the first time, checking all the announcements and posters along the walls. When he came to a group of pictures of men in uniform, he ased a nearby usher, "Why are all those men in the pictures?" The usher replied, "Why those are our boys who died in the service". Dumbfounded, the youngster asked, "Was that the morning service or the evening service?"
Next: Fidelity: you can get bid and ask? (I also have thousands of free quotes available from when I still had my stocks with them.) I still have mutual funds with them, some of which are marginable, but the stocks are with Datek. I'm mad at Fidelity-actually just talked to them today about it-I wrote them a letter in Sept saying that unless they lower their commissions I would switch my stocks, comm. too high, and they sent back a letter, sorry those are the commissions-more politely than that of course. Then two weeks after I sent the stocks to DAtek, out comes a news report that Fid. online trades would be reduced to $20, $14 for frequent traders!!! I asked the people today, wouldnt they have known when they wrote me that this was about to happen. The answer?"Sometimes the directors just decide and implement something within a week!" Oh well...
Anyway, do you use any service, like Daytraders on line or Independent Investor, or do you just have a list of stocks you follow for short trades? Do you trade hundreds or thousands of shares at a time?
Dont eat too much candy! Oh that reminds me, for those who crave sweets but dont want alcoholic ones, I also have an easy greatrecipe for choc mousse pie. Anyone want it? Best wishes Freeus |
