It will find its niche, but not where cable modem access arrives in a timely manner. It has major cost/performance problems relative to cable. Plain old copper needs upgrade to permit xDSL, just as old cable systems need upgrade to offer modem access. Also, Terayon has a Synchronous CDMA technology the holds promise for good performance even on "dirty" coax systems. I don't follow it that closely - what is CDSL? BTW, I'm not a telecoms engineer, although I have had a technical education. I pay attention to trends, significance of events, more than getting into the technology per se.
