The small investors aren't selling to buy bonds. Most wouldn't bother for 6 percent and take the risk of Greenspan raising rates thus dropping their principal.

Look at KLAC. Dropping like a rock on high volume. It WAS high when it was approaching 70 but now it is rediculous.

Margin on one of my accounts is close so I have to watch it. The rest are OK so I can hang on. They won't get my stocks.

The problem I think I see with a Jan high is that it won't be broad. The reporters think it will take 6 months to sort out the currency crap so that might keep a lot of people on the sidelines, especially in the high tech.
