Rod, I have seen comments by people using Netspeak's and Vocaltec's products, and they are not impressed at all. In fact the people in SI stated that earlier versions were better. Maybe due to the fact that the internet traffic has grown exponentially?
Well Japan and Australia are going ahead with IP telephony. I have talked with people in Australia who work alongside Telstra. THey are not impressed either. In fact they think Telstra has way too much downtime, and often loses regular packets, never mind voice. And it is a very expensive service. No one there seems to think Teltstra can pull off IP telephony.
Will VOIP becomes a success? I think so,but is it there yet,no way!
