I was out on Cape Town celebrating with my old mate Jaapie Van de Merwe (he is sort of equivalent to Polish in America) and we decided to take a bus back to Hermanus at around 3.00am. We found the bus station closed but Jaapie decided he would go get one from the garage, on a self-drive basis. He was gone for ages and I could here engines revving and lots of crashing and banging, until, finally, out drove Jaapie, with a big stupid grin. Jesus Jappie I said, what the hell took you so long. Ag man, he said. The silly buggers parked the Hermanus bus right at the back.
