Your Canadian humour test (First, note the correct spelling of what you lazy Yanks write as "humor").

It's not being lazy, we yanks figure out what doesn't provide any useful benefit and then get rid of it. Just making the word more efficient one vowel at a time. We've tried to have you Canucks keep up, but we couldn't wait any longer! <g>
