From Cable World: Time Warner president Richard Parsons confirmed press reports that the MSO aims to team up with U S West Media Group and perhaps Microsoft Corp. to create a new, enhanced version of Road Runner. That beefed-up data service could be unveiled as early as the Dec. 10-12 Western Show in Anaheim, Calif., according to Time Warner. Road Runner already has more than 20,000 customers in its first eight markets, putting it second behind @Home Network's 26,000 subscribers in the U.S. and Canada. U S West Media Group's MediaOne Express service is third with more than 13,000 subscribers.
