I'm new to this company (and the thread) - the recent decline caught my attention. I'm familiar with ADPT's SCSI products but was wondering: how are they involved with fiber channel? I've held EMC for the past 3 years, many of you probably know they bought McData a while back. Anyway, if Adaptec is a play on fiber channel then I'm even more interested. Also, is it true that they own the patents on SCSI and have the whole field to themselves? Thanks in advance, glad to be joining a thread with knowledgable people.
