If every technical indicator, boogeyman, and magical omen is pointing at AAPL to rise drastically but their earnings come in at $36 for this year and $30 next, do you think the stock would still rise? Performance trumps all. Pretty patterns can influence psychology and psychology can influence short-term supply/demand/pricing, but as time passes, earnings trump all. I'm still waiting for someone to explain how AAPL will see 10% earnings growth and $45+/share in FY14. Earlier this year, analysts were predicting $50+ for next year... what happened? |
