I think if more did, you would read about it such as you show in your header.

It amazes me that so many have high wealth and/or cash flow, such as NFL players, and many re broke two years after their last multi million paycheck. If only more knew that putting 80% into a well diversified portfolio of index funds and IGNORING all the "get rich schemes" from their friends can make them rich and/or preserve their wealth and grow with inflation, even if the 20% they experiment with is a complete bust. Sadly, too many swing for the grand slam rather than a high batting average.
