I don't know with whom you trade, but as of this writing margin interest rates at Interactive Brokers are 1.58% for up to $25,000 margin debt, with slightly lower rates for larger margin balances. Commissions are $1.00 for 100 shares, and $1.00 per option contract, in some cases slightly lower for multiples. interactivebrokers.com
