This idea is certainly not new. This thread is about creating a monthly income stream from writing covered calls, and puts. This can be from stocks we already own or new positions from available cash.

Taxes are not a consideration. Relatively safe stock picking and income generation is the objective. Type of account is not a consideration. Cash Accounts, IRA Accounts, Margin Accounts and others I may have missed are welcome.

Strategy. Either maximum call or put premium with the hope of a call out or a minimum call or put premium with the expectation that the stock will not be called out. Both strategists are welcome here.

Failure. If a position you posted about fails to work out, let us know about it. Failure is a better teacher than success.

Courtesy to others is always in vogue.
