You can still purchase it [Snow Leopard] on the Apple store for $19.99 which I thought was surprising.

I believe you can actually still purchase Lion and Mountain Lion as well, you just have to call Apple to do it. They then give you a code to redeem at the App Store. I did that for Lion after Mountain Lion came out.

Apple also still sells Snow Leopard Server by phone, which is the only way to legally run it in a virtual machine via Parallels, Fusion, etc. It's great if you have PowerPC apps you need to run.
