Hey Bob....ten years from now parking money off shore will a thing of the past.

As I see it money parked off shore has to be extremely safe.

I do not see any company rushing to park money in Russia (where it could disappear into Crimea)

I do not see any company rushing to park money in China. That could be a roach motel.

Any well industrialized country is out because they will tax it down to single digits.

Switzerland has learned the hard way about making their country a tax haven. They want no part of American money or accounts.

The current tax havens are getting fewer and fewer as the industrialized countries are putting the squeeze on them.
Blocking those countries from our banking system would ruin them for years to come.

Even those off shore tax havens need revenue and what better to increase revenue than to tax those foreigners.

If there was any political upheaval in those safe havens you would be hard pressed to get your money back.

An Arab saying is that "money is the biggest coward, because it always flees to safety"

I have read about bank accounts getting vaporized in some third world countries.

Hey, try the court system in some of those countries.....they might hear your case ten years down the road.

So the solution is bring your money back to the US, pay the taxes due and sleep easy.
