Well Kirk....we understand your viewpoint about messing with the "Job Creators"

But who are the job creators????

The very wealthy like Romney, Soros, and Icahn........how many jobs did they create???

Romney parked his assets in overseas tax havens, Soros and Icahn...did hire a few accountants and lawyers..

But the real job creators are the American consumers. When they spend money it creates demand for a product
and this can result in increased production and employment.

Robert complained a few posts back about the lack of demand in the economy. He is right. But if wages are suppressed to the lowest point possible who is going to buy the products created?

In my opinion wealth is created from the bottom up. Big demand at the bottom, creates opportunity for the wealthy to capitalize on demand growth. Wealth trickles up not down.

Now suppose that there were no minimum wage and we had an economic race to the bottom for wages.

How big of a hit would our economy take? Would it ever recover?

Raising the minimum wage is not a solution to our problems...but it would be a step in the right direction of economic growth.
