I'd probably rather see more people working than having those with jobs get paid more.
Jerome, you're right - it is wishful thinking. Much better for all to use some of that hoarded cash to raise wages and thereby put it in circulation.

The theme since the 1970s seems to be push workers to work longer and harder. I recall 10 hr days was something only done by us in the Silicon Valley and on Wall Street back in the 1980s while my friends and family in other jobs got mandatory breaks, long and many vacations and "no work jobs" designated by the unions.

I've heard these days tech jobs often require weekend work and the workers in the private sector across the land are being asked to at least be more efficient as companies cut staff and keep only the most efficient.

Then you have Europe Ex-Germany which seems to still value loads of vacations and even daytime nap periods in many countries.

I wish Buffett had made an official vote of no confidence by opposing the massively dilutive executive stock plan at Coke. I almost always fill out the forms to vote just so I can send a no vote on these plans TO MAKE A STATEMENT... but I often feel I'm pissing in the wind with my little protests.
