Raising the minimum wage would be a step in the right direction.
I don't know if that's the panacea that they claim that it is..

My view is that increasing actual job skills is the key.. vocational training, partnerships with corporations to fulfill their labor requirements, paid internships... etc..

Basically investing in the people of this country who want a job and lack the skills to get one...

Skilled people seldom is paid a mere minimum wage..

Correct me if I'm wrong on that one.. ;)

But there's just no excuse for letting people sit on their butts collecting entitlements, extended unemployment.. etc, where there is a tremendous amount of infrastructure repairs that need to be done in this country.

But I've suspected that this is all about creating dependence upon government and class warfare..

Btw, very good points on VA..
