Ramsey's comments yesterday Message 2944031 My comments late last night Message 2946158 I took the liberty to sell some of my long-term position in QCOM (thank God I got $59.5)...I purchased this at an average of $46 this summer....I had sold my trading position earlier somewhere in the 60's....( I honestly don't remember right now...too much option crap in my head for Corporate Finance exam tomorrow A.M.) It should be noted that I didn't think my comments and Ramsey's would move the market like this <g><g>......I am suprised at the quick downturn...I would have figured a 3-4 pt downturn but not 8+..... I see QCOM sliding into the mid-40's soon....it may bounce but it will decline into the mid-40's IMO....If you are a long-term investor, it will be a good time to pick up some shares.....I will look at this level....If the stock goes below $42 (low of summer I believe) than look out below !!!!!! I think that CDMA is advancing faster in deployment than my initial assumptions....However, the fact that Korea is such a huge chunk of the business model (a lot of the growth is there...the U.S. is still HUGE folks) tells me that we will see a decline in EPS > .31 that Schroeder cut..... Once again, this is just my opinion...Take it for what it is worth....Those that have followed the thread since I joined the QCOM bandwagon would know that I am a huge BULL of the technology...I love the company....GREAT COMPANY IMHO.....However, the fundamentals (which I base my investment decisions on) have weakened IMHO..... Good luck to all......Lets keep an open discussion going on the effects of this meltdown and the future stock movement...WE will all learn from this experience.....THAT IS THE KEY IMO....LEARN AND THEN APPLY!!!!!
