Concerning Finisar...............In my opinion an earnings miss of about two percent does not merit a +20% drop in share price. If FNSR opens near 19 a share I'll be a modest buyer.

Other considerations..... with a price under 20 the PE gets close to 10, and the PB gets to under 2...
I've been through this with other stocks and it usually took about 2 quarters of earnings for a full recovery.

With a company like FNSR I would have two questions that need to be answered. 1) Are the products produced by FNSR market leaders? 2) Do I have confidence in the current management team to continue owning this stock?

Flat back to back quarters happens to the best of companies ( INTC, CSCO). A longer term perspective is helpful.
With a lower price FNSR is still a good covered call write.

With a lower stock price FNSR is now a more attractive take over target. Heck a good new car ar $25 grand, is a great car at $20 grand.

Selling FNSR today is not a good idea because the first reaction in these things is always over reaction. A good haircut makes a lot of things look better (heads and lawns) and FNSR is no exception.

Note....I own some FNSR.....but today the good news from INTC (affecting HPQ, and MU) will carry the day.
