From October 2007-March 8, 2009, the US Stock market went down 57%. Those invested in index funds naturally experienced the full drawdown
too often TIME to recover is not mentioned. Many act as if time were a free commodity, in plentiful supply.
that's what I like about options: they force me to value time [and I don't trade leaps either - too much time involved]
