Yeah for sure! We all hope we don't get hyper inflation. I believe that would bankrupt the G20 so my guess is they raise taxes to fund the obligations first. For years, I've talked in my newsletters about how the Fed is implementing Hilary's plan (discussed in the early 1990s) to tax IRAs... without actually doing a 2% tax... use artificially low rates.

One thing for sure, the players holding the strings will land on top. I saw it 20 years ago and is why I bought my house where I did... I figured saving on rent would more than offset lack of income from the added capital to move here and it was far more attractive to look at the land while living on it than looking at a statement saying how much gold I held...

BTW, I believe this hyper inflation for housing in top places to live will eventually come to other good places to live... I uploaded some data that came with real estate ads (brokers looking for listings) this weekend:
I also just updated my personal account summary as Vanguard paid a bunch of dividends yesterday and discovered my REIT funds were up between 15.8% and 17.3% YTD!

There is a whole generation that remembers two bear markets over 50% AND a collapse of housing... so they may be renters for a lifetime and are still not in stocks.
