Well, the ORIGINAL mission to invade Iraq was to take out Saddam who would not allow inspectors to see if he had no WMDs. That MISSION WAS ACCOMPLISHED. For some reason the Dems perverted it and said the mission was not accomplished and Obama is sending troops BACK to Iraq to advise just as we sent "advisors" to Viet Nam before major escalation.

Everything after that was nation building and all sorts of other BS talk that I don't see how anyone educated could believe.... especially after centuries of failure. I follow Occam's Razor which says there was far too much money to be made spending $1.3T in taxpayer dollars on war to let the opportunity slide. It is also possible some thought they could crush another religion they've been at war with for 2,000 years, but I think that is part of the story told...

The most useful statement of the principle for scientists is
"when you have two competing theories that make exactly the same predictions, the simpler one is the better."

The only solution is for us to bite the bullet for issues we don't agree with whomever the Libertarians run, for example many Libertarians are anti choice.... and not elect either a Dem or GOP for at least 10 years.
