There are two ways to look at things re progress.

IN one's mind a pipeline is built in nano seconds but in reality it takes x TIME. So in general a refinery of x size and be built in y time..

There are certain things that can be rushed when building. Ya can't rush a Nuke.. And ya can't rush a refinery.

So x days are needed and since none have been built I'll be listening to the gas prices are up because x refinery had schedule shut down or y refinery had a fire...

And be prepared to pay more for gas.

Yet it those who were really serious about reducing costs did so the NEWER MORE IMPROVED refineries would be up and running and if one sat at minimum capacity to be pull on line when needed and supplemented by the govt.. OK by me.. Then with all the excess capaciy we might be looking at 1.25 for reg gas instead of 3.94 in Vegas and I'm sure over 4 in CA.

Keeping in mind certain folks get more tax rev on those higher prices.

Yet not to worry they will be trying to add that .12 to pay for infrastructure and selling it on the not to worry.. there's so much capacity gas will be at 2.. HMMM OK if you say so.

Bottom line to all of this which I simply asked.. Have they buitl any new refineried in the USA and it appears the answer is NO.
