Hey Pat... I agree with your post. I have lived in several third world countries for six years....Mostly African Countries and South American Countries... I have seen the effects of low or non existent tax rates on these countries. Almost all things are taxed, and almost all taxes are stolen by someone in power. I have always said that if I became prosperous ( a relative term) I would gladly pay my fair share of taxes and be thankful that I was born in the US.
