Increasing value for shareholders in a lethargic stock.

Many a good company with solid future prospects has a stock price going nowhere.

The solution is to follow the path taken by JDSU.... split the company up into distinct companies that individually have more value than the original company. Stock splits or spinoffs are favored by shareholders.

If share buybacks and dividends do not increase the share price.....then spinoffs to shareholders becomes the best option.

JDSU is up about 14% in the premarket and is also drawing attention to other companies in the same space. FNSR, JNPR, CIEN, which are also up in the premarket.
