News Flash: BANKS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE VERY CONSERVATIVE !! Those that were ended up buying all the broke investment banks - who created the crap that killed them. Then the big banks all got bigger. Their only mistake was conservatively reserving billions in loan loss provisions. Funding those reserves took away all profitability for several years. I think the bankers played their hand a little too hard - then came the government agency fines - which got back some of the taxes that were not paid. Its a big game of give and take. Bob
