"far out there" is what I meant in my last post. Sorry about the inappropriate word substitution. I would also like to add to that post. Many people are saying that China is not reporting their defense spending honestly. I think they are correct. China is, IMHO, spending "far" more on their military than what is revealed publicly. So again we have initial investment in military hardware that is added to GDP, but what is the cost of maintaining that military expansion? Also, are they reporting the cost of operations correctly/honestly? What many do not know, or chose to ignore, is that there is a mini-war/insurrection going on in their western province(s). I think these are 90% plus Islamic. So 7% growth may not be nearly enough growth to support everything they are doing. Much of what I have written is, IMHO, but much is also true. I am sure there is someone with more knowledge about the above reading all this and they can expand on or correct my comments. RDK.
