Hi Ken,.....You got a good plan. But there are reasons to have several credit cards even if they have a zero balance.

A few months back I bought a very nice Chevy Pick up (4x4) for 10K and used my credit card to buy it. Zero interest for 18 months . I should have it paid for in about 12 months. It took a little while to figure out how to evade 2% fee usually attached to those kind of kind of deals. But it can be done with a little bit of planning.

I have three other credit cards with a high credit line and zero balance that I will just put in the inactive status until I need them.

All that talk about a cash less economy is just something the talking heads on the financial web sites yammer about.

Note : That Chevy pick up (4x4) was well worth the money considering the deep snows we already had here in the UP.
