HI Kirk,

I'm up here in Wisconsin,

It was a balmy -7 here in Wisconsin.

Sturgeon spearing started last Saturday - its one of my ritual fishing trips with long time friends.

I right away caught the 24 hour flue bug so I'm staying low trying to recover.

Mom's doing well, has the house hotter than in the summer, and enjoying the drop in fuel oil.<smile>

The river is frozen over. blue skies and fresh windswept snow every where.

Plenty of bird seed in the feeder and the wild turkeys are appreciative of the free protein - hard to find anything under the snow.

It is quite beautiful and cold.

My neighbor sent me picture of peach trees I planted before leaving and they are now blooming.

Amazing how diverse our country is.

I lost track of the market while driving up here - new highs looked good.

Now for a rest and break out!

Mom is 96 and set in her ways - she only hopes to live in her Wisconsin castle as long as she can - I'm sure any where else would be quick death sentence.

So as her world gets smaller and smaller I observe that old age is not much fun.

We are truly living in the best of times right now !

That is true regardless of what the market gives us.

Thanks for the shout out - sorry I've been out of touch.

Bob
