I have a friend who "retired" from NASA. Gets pension and health insurance while consulting there for 4 hrs a day and making more $... At least he was last I talked to him about it. He used to be the biggest liberal in our Windsurfing group at one site and blasted his rhetoric to everyone who'd listen until 2 yrs ago I said "of course you like big government, you get to retire and make more money consulting on the backs of the rest of us. You're very welcome for the generous retirement we provide you!" He used to say he deserved it because of lower pay, but we pointed out he raised 3 kids in the Bay Area with a stay-at-home wife while most others who live in the city he lived in could not afford this... given so much salary is taken out for 401K, etc...
