I don't think much of the AAII Poll because it is so volatile that unless you are looking for short term signals only you cannot read anything into it. The chart below used to be of Investors Intelligence but somehow StockCharts.com changed it to AAII. I have tweaked the chart a bit with some buy and sell readings.



That said I still prefer the Investors Intelligence Poll which is very nearly at a cross over of more Bears than Bulls. That is something we have not seen since 2011 in that poll. The 2011 bottom produced a market that went more than 3 1/2 year without the SOX or S&P 500 seeing a bear market.

On the other hand the AAII Poll gives too many incorrect buy and sell points making it just useless noise to me. Some are right but far too often the signals are wrong or way too early.
