Hi Don, In Mr. Lichello's book on AIM there's a chapter on another model of his called TWINVEST. It's quite similar to dollar cost averaging - but with a brain. It's a strategy for managing periodic investing. Chapt. 15, I believe. Instead of investing 100% of your monthly contributions to a thrift plan, it has you split your contribution between cash and the equity. The ratio varies with the price of the equity. It makes it a more efficient buying device.

Best regards, Tom
