My wife is an amazon freak.

She travels back and forth from Houston to Wisconsin this summer.

Rather than pack anything she ordered her shampoo cat litter and litter box, cat food - all to be delivered here.

When shopping I use Amazon as the best price and then look for leaders that are local.

We also like Costco for high quality items,

If not the ole UPS van knows where my long driveway is.

Yes Avago has done really well and has been quite inquisitive.

It seems to be a chip maker now - you must have scale also.

Did you see where Mtsn was bought up by a Chinese firm.

There will be no small entrepeneur semi equipment makers in the next year.

aehr, rtec, cscd all should be on some ones radar for acquisition.

Every one must be global AND then have scale.

Brks just spent a big chunk of their cash for an acquisition of Bio Storage.

If you watch their videos on thyeir website it shows a little known but fast growing sector of storing drugs, biosamples in various cold temperatures.

Brooks is leveraging their robotics skills to take drugs made and store them in a specific cold storage device with out a human ever touching them.Samples are retained for litigation defense.

The top 20 pharmas are all using brks cold storage.

Here's an interseting link :

biostorage.com

biostorage.com

They paid 127 million for a firm that last year had revenue of 40 million. Expected to grow 20 - 25 % for the next 3 years.

150 million backlog in the next 3 years.

If brks has its way say good buy to the people walking out to the storage freezers - it 'll all robotic.

Brks is introducing -150 and -180 degree storage for bio samples. Most likely those will have the robots and convert to more efficient storage vials. Last year they bought the maker of storage vials that was located in England "Fluid X".

They have expanded Fluid X's foot print to the US from only the UK.

Interesting new business for pretty much a complete transfer of capabilities.

The one big plus is it gives them stable revenue and is not tied to the semi equipment cycles.

Just another solid company with great capabilities and smart enough to be businesses that have high margins.
