BEAS, software and middleware solutions. IPO in April at $6. Additional shares have been issued since. There are 64.3 million shares as of Oct. 31. 6 strong buys and 1 mod buy. Latest strong buy issued by Alex Brown on 12-17.
In Feb. of 96 the co. bought BEA TUXEDO product from Novell and has been succesful with this line.
The company has about 91 million in cash equivelants as of 10/31. and a PE of 58 on 98 projected earnings. BEAS beat street estimates by two cents in their last earnings report.

Jeff Vinick bought shares in Sept. as well as 9 institutions and 2 mutual funds.
So everyone likes this company and they are growing very fast. On Jan. 18th 42.1 milion shares will become eligible for sale upon the expiration of an agreement with Goldman Sachs.

BEV Largest chain of nursing homes in U.S. They just completed spinning off the mail order pharmacy division and are in the process of selling off struggling nursing facilities in order to improve profit margins.
On 12-4 Morgan Stanley upgraded the shares to outperform from neutral and on 12-1 Warburg Dillon Reed gave the stock an outperform rating.
