Instock, Doug and I have pooled our interests together for the past six months in an effort to identify potentially profitable short term and intermediate term trading situations. We've been joined by some wonderful people along the way and our one thread on S.I. has grown to more threads on S.I. than I am aware of and some Internet web sites beyond S.I. as well. The original philosophy was to first identify stocks demonstrating an "attitude." This refers to Doug R's sophisticated brand of technical analyses. Please refer to the following threads if you have not been initiated to Doug's 56 Point TA: techstocks.com Subject 15770 Initially, Doug would identify a list of stocks demonstrating an attitude and Instock and I would then go to work on the fundamentals of the stock. We decided to start focusing on one company each week using this method and so was born the DIS TEAM and our "Pick of the Week." Please refer to the wonderful library of information that Peg Coleman has compiled: Subject 16778 DIS has been a great experience as well as a learning experience. Evolution has occured and we are now into the next step. We have expanded DIS into SWAT. SWAT is looking for stocks that are sound both technically and fundamentally. A stock that has potential for IMMEDIATE as well as intermediate (3 months) gain. It will be entirely up to the individual, within or outside of the team to trade the stock as he or she sees fit. When we find a stock satisfying our criteria we will post our report on this thread on a Sunday night. SWAT will report on the stock from EVERY perspective: *TA in three part harmony led by Doug R. and joined by Myron and David H. *Jeff Kahn will provide a nightly report on the MM activity on the stocks that we are following *Mike Vitas and Cary Crossman will tackle the financials. * Radar and David M. will report on the management team. * Carole Hall and Peg Coleman will check into analysts providing coverage. * Jim Strauss will provide a general overview (TA/FA) on why the stock is solid. Instock and I will continue doing what we have been doing as part of DIS. We are now part of SWAT. We hope that all of our friends join us here FOR FUN AND FOR PROFIT. Sergio | ||||||||||||
