Hi Bob-

I've enjoyed listening in on your conversations with Kirk for a long time. Very thoughtful stuff. And I admire your gardening and canning prowess! I think today you woke up on the wrong side of the bed. You can't be serious about letting your neighbors die because they can't afford health care!

It's easy to forget the the poor come in many stripes. Some, like me, are lazy. But most aren't, and for a variety of reasons find themselves unable to afford health care, among other things. The deck is stacked against poor people in every direction.

I understand how people who work hard don't want to share their stuff with people who don't. It isn't fair. But nor is it fair when people who want to take care of their families can't find work that pays them enough to do so. You're going to let these people die?

I suspect you are indulging in hyperbole and I will let you let off steam and soon go back to lurking. But -geez- if smart people like you, who I suspect have more money than you need, get so riled up about compassionate sharing, regardless of what the politicians do and say, this country really is in trouble...
