A man in a field came upon a well with a stone wall around it.

Curious, he picked up a small pebble and threw it into the well.
He listened for a while and never heard it hit bottom.

He then picked up a large stone and threw it in, still no splash.

Grabbing a railroad-tie he dragged it up to the well, and tipped it in,
Still no splash!!

As he was waiting a goat came up jumped up on the wall, and jumped right into the well, Still no splash.

Just a little while latter a farmer came walking up to the man and asked
I'm looking for a goat, have you seen one?,

The man replied "Well I did see one come running up and jump into this well"

To which the farmer replied
" Oh that couldn't have been him, mine was tied to a railroad-tie ......... Sye
