I'm not sure about the major building theory for major market tops.... except they usually signify SOMEONE has too much money to invest wisely.... so something tops
The completion of the tallest building in the World, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, was topped in Jan 2009.... for sure the buy of my generation for stocks.... and not a bad time to buy oil either...
Oddly, construction on the BK began in 2004.... when oil was priced lower! en.wikipedia.org
Stocks were ALSO a great buy in 2004....

Apple could probably keep buying its stock back and become a REIT with all that VALUABLE real estate.
This IS a very beautiful place to live and the diversity in great sports from surfing, skiing, bike riding, windsurfing, golf (Monterey), Napa Valley wines, San Francisco city life (for the nutz who enjoy that type of living), etc.... is really hard to beat.
I don't see that land every going down significantly on a super long time scale just as Rome, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, NY and now the SF Bay Area are all great places for many.
It is possible that starting the building for Apple signified the end of it being valued as a growth company and is now valued as a hardware company or even a value stock where the expectation for crashing margins will be offset by stock buybacks. |
